Educating board members regarding their roles and responsibilities is crucial to the transition of directors. After an election at an annual meeting, and at the first board meeting of new directors, we like to provide board training. This training is facilitated by our primary law office representative specializing in homeowners association law, and with nearly two decades of experience. The training includes understanding HOA governing documents, the legal collection process and the legal enforcement of use restrictions based on each set of unique covenants, as well as state statutes.
